Selfie as a selfish endeavour

How many of us in today's use of gadgets have not taken a selfie photo on his or her own? The influx of selfie photos literally would mean a possession of own photos whether meant for display in own gadgets and applications or for sharing purposes to whoever it may concern.

As for me, I take a selfie because I just want to see who am I actually wishing to meet up and when I see the photo again, I can see that everybody around me is doing the same thing. Hoping that our two faces come together and we can take another selfie together.

That does not mean when I take a selfie with the Prime Minister or a famous artiste (perhaps not), would make me part of their fame, rich and famous life. What I mean again is that part of the culture to be famous, we need to be in the frame? (this is where the Malay phrase "enter the frame" comes into the picture).

Nobody wants to be famous and share that fame in a piece of selfie or frame.

Worse still, when you have to buy the picture made for yourself when you have only a few penny in your pocket. What a selfie world indeed.
