Who will you choose?

We enter an episode of another tiring and exhausting temptations to achieve a high income nation. Nevertheless, regards never been had regarding the level of indebtedness of companies and corporations in providing the best high salary scales for the people.

My view is very different from that of the orthodox finance ministers' and their predecessors'. What has been transpired in the current General Election (GE) result is relatively incompatible with the high income status as propounded by the previous policy-makers (my phrase).

Nothing can change the fact that people need extra money in their hands, by not having to work extra hours or doing extra part-time jobs which deter their quality time spent for their families or even for themselves. Foreigners from all walks of lives in different countries are coming into Malaysia to earn a living and thus, bringing together their culture and social agenda, which undeniably impede the interests of the local (what is local is extremely subjective even hitherto since there are many people who claim to be citizens when they themselves can't even pronounce the word "sireh" or "pohon cemara" with correct local pronunciations).

Therefore, when we see many people who are elected as the result of the GE-14, we know that they are forming a government with the aim to appoint a new Prime Minister (PM) therefor. To me, it is very funny when it is seen in a very dynamic view, whereby there were once termed as monkeys during their Parliamentary debates, and yet they themselves are choosing a PM for the sake of satisfying their quest for power. Perhaps they forget, the other side of the equation was also termed as monkeys too who must be given a basket of bananas when they need some food.

One need not forget that a giant GLC, which has its own Code of Statute forming it, (which is PETRONAS: a cash rich corporate body and a larger contributor to the revenue to the Government), by convention is "owned" by the Prime Minister who must be held responsible and accountable for the management of the money and administration as a whole. It is by convention also that those who become a Prime Minister must be held responsible for the bonuses and income of the government staff.

I am very surprise to acknowledge that the PM of Singapore in his FB status sent a message to the new government to be formed by the new sets of Elected MPs who were once were called monkeys. I am very cynical about this because, once you are in the "privilege" to say anything that you can in the Parliament, there you can see how those MPs were brought up and educated. I do not need to say anything about Singapore Parliament because Singapore has got many interests (investments, deposits or even cultural convergence diversity which the people of Singapore themselves always attach themselves to, even if the above has got nothing to do with them such as when Thailand wishes to build a canal in Segenting Kra). This inclusiveness of the neighbouring country seems to be very pressuring when it comes to wishing the new government to be formed by "monkeys" a good luck.

It is not to say that our neighbouring countries do not have such monkey-ness connotations, but I hope my words are not taken out of context. Only a matured PM and people would understand my words.

My conclusion is, a Prime Minister of Malaysia is the one who shall be the "owner (with full responsibilities and accountabilities) of Petronas". And that person shall not be chosen by a set of monkeys of course.
