Gemersik suara tiada terhingga
Bagai didagang tiada berharga.
Sungguh tinggi nilai dikendong
Tiada tepak sirih di kantung
Tingginya bahasa bagai disadung
Kain diikat hibanya tiada tertanggung.

P/S: A Ph.D student and a professor would have different views regarding what is called "inner meaning" of some poems or even letters sent to dignitaries (or academicians). Be careful with the meaningful of words because Malay phrases are so sacred in its stance and foundation.
