One writer in particular loved the word obfuscation in one of the writer's writing columns and the book was published for the writer's telling it straight as it seemed to be.
Well, well, well. Nobody cares if you are selling your own brand and suddenly the sellers who are supposed to sell the products, recommend other products instead of your own. Obfuscation as the loved word has become an addiction for that writer to know the products better, because the writer is not a nuisance sometimes but is actually an ad hoc businessperson now.
One person has got his smartphone sent for repair, but the worker in the workshop said the phone is irreparable and it is advisable for the client to buy another piece either new or secondhand item. With great despair, the client refused to use handphones anymore. That handphone was too sentimental in value to him in such a way if the phone cannot be repaired he would become idle. Have you met such a person before?
Inter-racial conflicts occurred regarding the sales of smartphones in many countries but the severity can be found in Malaysia as far as chairs and tables flying too high is concerned. Are the smartphones haunted or what, nobody has made thesis yet.
Another person wished to change new his phone battery and he asked from the kiosks. To his surprise, the shopowner said she did not know where to find the batteries to sell and her face was not sweet because she was selling iPhones at that time. The client's phone was VC, a brand made in Malaysia. Well, well, well.
By asking people where to get batteries, is like asking a tiger in a cage, whether the tiger is going to roar or to roam outside. Not like roaming beyond the fence, arguably. I encountered a problem when I was asking to change ASUS battery in the ASUS outlet. The worker said that battery was out of stock, and I was advised to buy another phones instead because the phone model was in its obsolescence stage. Well, well, well.
It is indeed an obfuscation, to which brands have become so much a nuisance far beyond recognition.
